With Erica Fernandes coming on board as Prerna in Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2, the speculations are rife around the male actors who will reprise the roles of Anurag Basu and Rishabh Bajaj in the reboot version. While Parth Samthaan is being considered as the front-runner for the part of Anurag, buzz is Barun Sobti will be the new Rishabh Bajaj. However, Barun has denied the speculations saying that he has no clue about it. But if we consider the fact that there was an age difference between Prerna and Mr Bajaj, Sobti seems to be a good choice for the role. In the mean time, the actor who will play Erica aka Prerna's father has been finalised. It seems veteran actor Kali Prasad Mukherjee has been roped in by the production house. He has worked with Balaji Telefilms in Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum and also in Rangrasiya. Actress Kanupriya Pandit will be Prerna's mother. Yesterday, reports surfaced that Sumona Chakravarti was chosen for the part of Nivedita, Anurag's sister but she said that nothing was finalised so far. Pooja Banerjee is also a part of the cast.

Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 is in news ever since it was announced. While Erica Fernandes has been confirmed to play the lead actress, Prerna's (played by Shweta Tiwari in the original) role, the fans are still wondering as to who might play Anurag's (played by Cezzane Khan) character. Recently, there were also reports that Hina Khan has been finalised for the role of Komolika (played by Urvashi Dholakia). But the actress clarified that she has not signed the show yet.

Who Will Play Anurag’s Role?
For Anurag's role, it was said that the actors like Shaheer Sheikh, Kushal Tandon, Barun Sobti, Sharad Malhotra, Mohit Raina and Angad Bedi were approached. While a few reports said that Sharad has been confirmed to play Anurag's role, a few other reports suggested Barun has been locked for the role! Now, Parth's name is doing the rounds.

Apparently, Parth Samthaan has been finalised for the role of Anurag Basu on the show. A source was quoted by IE as saying, 'Ekta and the team had a tough time finding the perfect Anurag. A lot of actors were in contention but the rebooted show required a young face.'
